Property Details
I need to vacate my lease here in the Gateway complex in battery park. Start date is somewhat flexible. I will need at least a few days/week to find my new place so can't start tomorrow, but could be later than 10/31.
This apartment has a ton of light as it is south facing and has a direct and unobstructed view of the water including the statue of liberty. It is the closest building to the water in the complex - take the elevator and a short walk puts you directly on the esplanade.
Amenities at the Gateway include an outdoor pool open in the summer (additional fee but very reasonable compared to other pools in NYC), an onsite gym ($50/month), laundry in the building, elevator, doorman.
The apartment is very large, it can easily be converted into a true one bedroom with a temporary wall (You have to use the buildings wall installer) or with a creative partition. I have a king size bed, wardrobe, dresser, end tables, full size couch facing a large TV, a normal sized desk and dining room area all within the living space.
There are 3 large closets (the smallest of which would still be "normal" for a studio). The kitchen has tons of cabinets as well.
The building is very pet friendly (2 pets/apartment).
This is a lease takeover. My lease ends on 9/11/2019 so depending on the start date it would be for 10 months+. The building requires you to submit an application - you'll need to come to the leasing office and do that ($100 fee for one applicant).

My lease renewal last year was only 2% which I thought was very reasonable. The lease rate is actually at $3162, but I will pay you the difference at lease signing.
