A spacious bedroom located on a rare quiet street in a privately-owned building near Grand Central and a short walk from Bryant Park. The room is enormous (the picture doesn't capture the whole space!). It is located on the top floor with four windows and a skylight, filled with natural light, with wood floors and dreamy, bohemian-style furnishings. The room has a closet, drawers built into the bed-frame, a desk to work at, a projector to watch movies on, and everything you could need.

The living room is filled with books and eclectic objects. You will have access to the bathroom, kitchen, living room, and main bedroom, as well as basement laundry. The other housemate is a female poet and artist/performance/theater creative, in her mid-twenties, quiet and considerate, who does not often bring guests over.

This is the main bedroom in a 1.5 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, with A/C and heating. The kitchen has a dishwasher, brand new stove and oven installed. There is basement laundry.

The apartment is right next door to the super high-end Kajitsu restaurant. There is Momofuku Ramen, The House of Lasagna and many other great restaurants all within a block. There are several grocery stores in walking distance: Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Japanese grocery stores, D'Agostino's and more. A few blocks downtown and you'll find yourself in "Curry Hill," a neighborhood known for its many Indian restaurants.

The location is incredible. There is convenient access to everything in Manhattan.

NOTE:
There is a cat in the apartment. 3 years old, shy at first but cuddly and playful once he warms up. Cat-loving guests in particular mandatory. I have lowered the usual room price hoping to find someone who will take care of the cat for a few days when the other housemate is gone.
