Beautiful, bright, rent-controlled, newly-renovated east-facing one-bedroom apartment on the 15th floor of a historic building complex in the heart of Harlem. Gas, electric and A/C included in monthly rent. Breathtaking sunrise views from both the living and bedrooms. Newly renovated kitchen with full gas range, microwave, dishwasher, huge fridge/freezer, lots of storage space and two windows, opening to an open-plan living room bordered by a triple 9.5 ft. window with views of the Harlem River and the Bronx. The bedroom has a double closet and comfortably fits a bed, desk/dressing table and chest of drawers; it has another huge east-facing window, so if you're an early riser you can watch the sun come up from bed. There is a single closet just outside the bedroom for bedding and sheets and a double closet near the entrance for coats and outerwear. The bathroom is small but newly renovated, with a bathtub and ample storage space. I have put up towel racks and light-filtering shades on all the windows that I am happy to leave in place for the next tenant. As I am moving abroad, I am also willing to leave/sell furniture to the next tenant – some of my pieces are mid-century modern originals. There are laundry facilities in the building, a package room, and maintenance are very responsive. I love this apartment and will be very sad to leave.

I would be prepared to negotiate leaving my bed and mattress (Ikea firm, less than a year old), original 1960s Austinsuite mid-century modern vanity/dressing table with mirror, Urban Outfitters sleeper sofa, among other things. The building permits pets but that would have to be approved by landlord.
