Moving out of my studio so that I can move in with my partner. I’ve lived here for 5 years and have absolutely loved it. This is a beautiful unit, and is quite large for a studio apartment. From the pictures, you can see that I have comfortably fit a large 3-4 person couch, a 4 person dining table, a full size bed, tv, and desk. You could easily fit a queen, or even a king bed if you get a smaller couch.
The kitchen is excellent, and comes with a dishwasher, gas burner stove, oven, recessed microwave, and of course a refrigerator/freezer. There is plenty of counter space for prepping food.
It comes with central air, and the unit is an AC/heater, that allows you to switch between the two with the press of a button. It is also thermostat controlled, which has been really nice.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor, and is in an elevator building. The nice thing is that the laundry machines are on the 5th floor, so you can easily take the stairs, or the elevator to get there.
There is a fitness center on the 2nd floor with several treadmills and elliptical machines, as well as a cable system, dumbbells, a bench, and a chest press machine.
The building is very pet friendly, and I’ve seen dogs of all sizes roaming around.
Maintenance staff are incredibly responsive, and almost every problem I’ve had has been fixed that same day. The doorpeople are very nice and do a great job of logging package deliveries/food deliveries and notifying you via email.
The building itself is very new, built in 2012, and is very clean and well kept. I have never had a single pest in 5 years living here.
One of my favorite things about this unit is the shower. The pressure is amazing, and I haven’t found anything that compares.
There are two large closets in the unit - one that I use for coats and storage, and the other I use for the rest of my clothes.
The windows are very big and provide plenty of west-facing natural light, as well as a nice view of Center Blvd, and a glimpse of the East River if you peek out the right side.
There are a couple train stations nearby - Vernon Jackson for the 7 train, and Court Sq for the E, M, and G. There is a dedicated TFC shuttle bus for residents that runs from the building across the street, to and from the Vernon-Jackson station.
The waterfront is right next to you, and the views are stunning and never get old. There is also a dog park by the water, as well as two ferry stops! There are also plenty of restaurants along Vernon, as well as several food trucks along Center Blvd. The public library on Center Blvd has excellent high-up views as well. There are 3 grocery stores nearby - Foodcellar, Urban Market, and Trader Joe’s. There are also two convenience stores - Duane Reade and CVS. There is also a hardware/kitchen store nearby.

Additional fees
There is a $20 application fee, and if approved, there is a $1500 lease assignment required by my building. This fee might surprise you, but it is substantially less than a broker fee that you would pay elsewhere, and the monthly rate for this unit is well below market rate.
The application process consists of a credit check, background check, 3 most recent pay stubs, 3 most recent bank statements, landlord reference letter, and photo ID. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about this and I can relay them to my building management.
Other info
The apartment will come unfurnished (unless you’re interested in any furniture - let me know if you are). My building management will consider extending a lease renewal to you at the end of this lease term (July 31, 2023), however I cannot say what the new rate would be for the renewal.
