The property is a direct neighbor of the famous historical landmark "The Chelsea Hotel", which the neighborhood takes it's name from. The roof deck offers stunning views of the wider Chelsea neighborhood looking south with the Freedom tower in the back ground. From this vantage point one can look Northeast and see the Empire state building in all its granduer, as well as Hudson yards to the Northwest. The Carteret is literally steps from the 1 train, and a block from the F train. The building is no more than a few minutes walk from some of the best restaurants, coffee shops, and bars that the neighborhood of Chelsea (and NYC as whole) has to offer. Apartment 1608, as you might have guessed, is located on the 16th floor of the building, and only one flight of stairs from the roof deck previously mentioned. The studio includes 1 bathroom with tub, and kitchen space. The windows look out to the Edge at Hudson Yards. The unit includes and electric stove and oven.

Incentives

My lease cycle started in December of last year, and as such I received a substantial discount on rent for this unit. As anybody knows in NYC, the summer months are a sellers market, and therefore a place like this one would rent for significantly more than what I am paying currently. For the quality of apartment, building, and location offered, this is quite the deal. Not only does the rent include utilities, but I am happy to leave the window installed air conditioner and practically brand new microwave, free of charge.
