Looking for a roommate to join me for a new lease (option to discuss full lease or month-to-month or a shorter lease) starting December 1st in Bed Stuy! I have a cat who is very sweet and affectionate but no other pets, please.
About the place: The second bedroom (yours!) is 11'2" x 9" and has a full-size, deep closet. There is a bathroom down the hall with a stand up shower that would primarily be yours. In the unit, there are two additional large closets for storage. The basement has a full storage area for our unit, bike storage, and a washer-dryer. Outside there is a garden area that's shared with the building.
About me: I'm 33 freelance journalist so I work from home, and am very social but love to have a nice peaceful, clean home (friends over is of course, okay, but don't want to be having parties regularly.) I'd prefer someone in their late-20s to late-30s but am flexible. On the weekends, I love to hang out with friends, go to art/music events, or go outside on bike rides or hikes. I used to work in the outdoor industry so love to stay active and be outdoors! I travel for work regularly, at least once a month. My cat is 11 years old and she loves to be social, so she will probably snuggle up to you when I'm not home.
I've had roommates for most of my adult life, so I value someone who is up for having conversations about their needs/expectations. The worst thing is to have passive aggressive energy in your own home—I want it to be a peaceful place for both of us!
Rent: $1650/month (security deposit of the same price due on signing). No brokers fee!
Utilies: Just electric and internet
