Friendly , diverse working class neighborhood that offers a sense of community from the hustle and bustle of downtown with great places to eat within blocks and plenty of culture to immerse yourself in . Central park is 15 min walk away and east river pier is 10minutes walk. It is a calm atmosphere with all walks of life while retaining the old new york feel. I love it here but after my roommate left I simply cant afford the rent. It is a 5th floor walk up (great cardio!)
Also great grocery store is 2 blocks away along with tattoo shops and Salsa dance studios, banks, etc . Among other gems you’’l find. I love this neighborhood and you will too.
